Augsburg – at that time as well as today an important centre for economy, culture and tourism

Augsburg – at that time as well as today an important centre for economy and culture, tourism top spot and one of the oldest cities in Germany. Here the Fugger mercantile and banking dynasty established their financial empire and the “Fuggerei”, the world’s oldest social housing settlement. Prince-electors met here for imperial diets with wide-reaching avowals. Emperors and popes settled here. In former times it was spaces or silk from the Far East and copper which transformed Augsburg into one of the most important centres of commerce.

Augsburg’s splendour is omnipresent: in the “Golden Hall” of the Renaissance-style city hall, the grand patrician houses in the historic Old Town or in the revived craftsman quarters.

Today the city is one of the healthiest business locations in Europe. Internationally notable enterprises such as MAN (engineering works), KuKa (industrial robots), EADS (aerospace industry) or the lighting manufacturer Osram attest to this. The university city invests in other trendsetting projects such as in the construction of the new science park in the university district. You will find more information at www.region-a3.com.

A gem of industrial and architectural history: from 1830 the textile industry in the east of Augsburg grew to European rank and lent its name to an entire city district between the inner city and the Lech River as well as along numerous canals. One of them is the Proviantbach, on which the stocks of provisions were once transported into the city. The historic landmark ensemble of the identically named quarter recounts living in the 19th century. Here, in the splendour of the Glass Palace, history comes alive.

The deep-rooted structures offer incomparable potential: rediscover the old, take advantage of resources and create the new.

Berlin - The rising metropolis in the new centre of Europe

Since the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 Berlin has developed into a rising metropols in the new centre of Europe. The capital city is currently returning to its former status of being the central location for economic and political decision-making processes. A factor that makes the city a magnet with regard to the influx of all kinds of financial power from all directions. Together with a good infrastructure Berlin is distinguished by the excellent way in which it is mastering its urban challenges.

Alongside the sights to be seen in this city with its unmistakeable Prussian charm, the impressive historic building structure gives this city a distinctive and compelling flair.

We would like to point out that the cityscape is changing continuously. The optical impressions of whole districts have changed rapidly, which is directly due to to the substantial refurbishment of a considerable portion of the listed historical buildings in East Berlin. Berlin is a city that does not know stagnancy.

Although it is a vital metropolis, Berlin offers its inhabitants an unusually high quality of life due to the large range of local recreational opportunities and locations. Alongside opportunities such as theatres, cinemas and museums, rotative exhibitions and galleries, the mulitcultural events in Berlin provide an international and sought-after diversity of intellectual and cultural enjoyment.

Munich - the Isar metropolis with traditional Bavarian charm

The capital of Bavaria has an exemplary infrastructure. This is probably a significant reason why Munich is one of the most economically powerful cities in the Federal Republic of Germany. Munich is an international centre of attraction for all kinds of companies due to the balanced policy in relation to buisness locations, which also takes the quality of living as a central planning element into consideration. A criterion that distingishes Munich particularly is the delightful coexistence of global business activities and the Bavarian charm with its rustic Gemütlichkeit (cosiness and sociability).

The cityscape of Munich is distinguished by historical facades originating from a wide variety of epochs, such as Rococo, Baroque or Art Nouveau. A mixture that lends a very special flair to the city. Besides the great number of sights to be seen, the generous layouts of the parks, for example the English Garden and wide range of sophisticated cultural activities lead to the great attrcation of this city. The traditional Oktoberfest, one of the most famous folk festivals in the world, need not be described here in detail due to its high profile!

Zwickau - The city in the middle of the four-state corner Saxonia-Thuringia-Bavaria-Bohemia

Corporate Locations of the P&P Group
Situated at the intersection of two significant commercial routes, Prague-Leipzig and Nuremberg-Freiberg, Zwickau was experiencing a period of prosperity as far back as the middle ages. Linking to this old tradition, Zwickau is again one of the most important growing regions in the Free State of Saxony today. Alongside the great names such as Audi and Volkswagen, versatile medium-scale companies, above all, distinguish and determine the healthy business location.

As Zwickau’s city centre was largely unscathed dring the Second World War, it still has a valuable collection of historical structure; consequently the townscape is distinguished by its numerous historical buildings. The town of Zwickau and the European Union are funding the renovation and sustainment of this cultural town. In this town of famous sons such as the composer Robert Schumann, the co-founders of the German Expressionism movement, Hermann Max Pechstein and Fritz Bleyl (later adherent to the artist group "Brücke"), traditional value is placed upon a wide and demanding range of culture provided.

As a result of a comprehensive location analysis carried out throughout Germany, P&P AG has selected the city of Zwickau as its headquarters. A decision, which has shown itself to be an especially valuable step, strategically and tactically. In the last few years P&P Group in Zwickau has realised over 100 objects - a factor that has significantly contributed to a strong anchoring at communcal level. Additional advantages of the location are the costs of material and labour prevailing in Zwickau. A success factor, which enables the competence team of P&P AG to operate economcially also in the long term, a fact that has a positive impact, in particular, on the sector of after-sales management.
